The convenience of small ship cruising can take you to lesser known destinations that larger ships simply cannot access, affording wonderful up-close views of flora, fauna and charming coastal towns. Our itineraries feature ports rich with history and warm hospitality. Whether your idea of a perfect vacation is an adventure or simply enjoying time with friends, an ACCL small ship cruise aims to please.

Cruise Descriptions
Please refer to our Cruise Catalog for detailed information regarding our diverse offerings of interesting cruise destinations. You may also consult our Web site at www.accl-smallships.com.

Reservation Information
For detailed reservation information, please see our Reservation Information page or refer to our printed Cruise Catalog. When making a reservation, we will ask you the following information for all guests: full name, address, telephone number, date of birth, emergency contact name and phone number, and special needs (i.e. dietary). Due to new international security policies, we also require a passport number or photo ID number for all guests who will travel with us.

Itineraries
Itineraries are subject to change. Due to weather and Captain's discretion, arrival times and ports of call cannot be guaranteed. In the event of an unlikely change in itinerary, guests will be informed by ACCL or crew if an itinerary change is necessary.

Dining
Listen for the ringing of the quaint hand-held Colonial bell, as one of our energetic crew members walks the ship to invite guests to the dining room. We serve a high standard of food that has pleased even the most discerning gastronome. Menus are posted daily. Our chefs are eager to please and guests are welcome to submit special dietary restrictions. Refreshments and snacks are available 24 hours a day in the lounge and dining room. There is an open seating policy.

On-board Activities
Our ships are perfect for those who enjoy conversations, reading, card playing, and occasional entertainment by talented guests and crew (there is a piano aboard all our ships). We have three common areas: the lounge; dining room (these two are combined on the Niagara Prince); and outside top deck that all offer options for socializing and enjoying activities while on ship. Our Cruise Directors offer a variety of activities for guest participation.

BYOB
ACCL is one of the few cruise lines in the world that has a "Bring Your Own Bottle" liquor policy. Guests love this unusual arrangement which reduces on-board expenses usually associated with cruising. Mixers, ice, snacks, refrigeration, and storage are provided around the clock in our lounge where you can help yourself.

Save 10% and see more destinations
Book an extended vacation by combining more than one ACCL cruise. Take back-to-back trips and save 10% on the second trip. Here are some back-to-back suggestions:

Belize/Barrier Reef/Guatemala & Belize/Barrier Reef
Bahamas/Caicos & Bahamas/Eleuthera/Exuma Cays

Reliability
American Canadian Caribbean Line (ACCL) has been operating small ships since 1966 and prides itself for being a very reliable company. We are backed by a U.S. Federal Maritime bond which assures that guests' deposits are protected. We are privately owned by the Blount family of Rhode Island and are financially sound.

Early Arrivals
For your convenience, you can opt to board the ship one day prior to sailing, on certain itineraries. For $95 (2008 bookings) and $115 (2009 bookings) per person, you will receive accommodations, dinner and a full breakfast. Prior arrangements with the office are required. Please check individual itineraries for early arrival availability. All early arrivals need to be reserved and paid for in advance.

Group Information
Our informal atmosphere, dedicated crew and on-board meeting space accommodates groups up to 100 people. Intimate ACCL vessels and unique itineraries are perfect for group travel. Only five cabins are needed to take advantage of group rates. Why not get some friends together and make some fantastic memories on a yacht-like expedition? Our ships are also perfect for organizations that travel together (i.e. church groups, seniors clubs and alumni reunions).
Our Group Coordinator will be happy to assist you with your group planning needs. We are experienced in helping travel agents, group leaders and individuals plan successful group travel experiences.

Charter
ACCL vessels are available for charter. Choose from our varied list of itineraries or custom tailor a trip with assistance from our Charter Coordinator. Charters are usually planned at least one year in advance and if your group consists of up to 100 guests, chartering may be for you.
Corporate and incentive travel buyers especially enjoy the opportunity to charter ACCL vessels.

Packing Advice
Casual is the word on ACCL ships. There are no special dress requirements on board. Even the CaptainÕs cocktail hour is informal. Guests sometimes bring one smart casual outfit if they wish to dine at a formal restaurant when in port, or if they wish to dress up for the Captain's farewell dinner.

Singles
Independent travelers love our cruises thanks to the friendly atmosphere on our intimate ships. Our renowned passenger camaraderie is conducive to those who travel as an individual but enjoy the company of other like-minded adventurers. Independent travelers have a choice of Exclusive Single Occupancy at a rate of 175% of single fare on select cabins or can opt for a Willing to Share status at the normal per person, double occupancy price.

Environment
ACCL endeavors to act responsibly in regard to environmental preservation. We work hard to ensure our visits and port calls have a positive impact on the culture and landscape. When visiting beaches, every effort is made to leave the area cleaner than when we arrived, leaving only footprints to wash away any sign that we have been there. Our shallow draft ships have been designed with energy efficient systems including our innovative water conservation toilets and continental showers. ACCL maintains and adheres to an environmental policy in accordance with its internationally approved Safety Management System. To conserve energy, we launder towels every other day.

Safety
ACCL operates U.S. flag small passenger ships that were built and annually inspected under stringent U.S. Coast Guard regulations as well as SOLAS and MARPOL International regulations. ACCL meets the requirements of ISM (International Safety Management Code) and maintains a Safety Management System that is audited regularly by the company and third-party internationally recognized auditors. ACCL also maintains a vessel security plan that includes a 24-hour deck watch.

Electric Current
Only 110-Volt AC appliances may be used. Electric shavers and toothbrushes may be operated without converters. Ironing is strictly forbidden in staterooms.

Valuables
When traveling internatonally, it is strongly recommended that U.S. residents have their valuables such as cameras, binoculars, radios, watches jewelry, etc. registered with U.S. Customs before departure at a Customs Office in their area or at embarkation. Under no circumstances will we accept responsibility for valuables.

Passport and Re-entry Permit Information
On our international itineraries, all passengers are required to carry valid passports. On domestic cruise, US citizens must have a valid government-issued photo ID. Naturalized US citizens are advised to carry their natuaralization papers. Other non-US citizens must have pasports and necessary visas.

Parking
Parking facilities are provided for all our northern cruises beginning or ending in Warren, RI. Vehicles are left at owner's risk. All valuable equipment should be removed. Company accepts no responsibility for stolen property on premises where cars are parked.

Personal Funds
There is no need to spend additional money once aboard the vessel except for desired land tours and gratuities. It is recommended that passengers carry a supply of U.S. currency in small denominations as well as traveler's checks. Traveler's checks are easily cashed in large ports of call, but may not be as readily accepted on the islands. No personal checks or traveler's checks will be cashed on board ship, but can be used to purchase shore tours.

Gratuities
Gratuities are not included in cruise fare and are at the complete discretion of the passenger at the end of the cruise. Passengers can use traveler's or personal checks.

Clothing
Informality is the word; no special dress requirement on board.

Liquor All ACCL vessels sail on a BYOB basis with set-ups provided. Liquor is not sold on board.

Fishing
Where allowed, fishing is available while the vessel is on anchor. Bring your own rod.

Itinerary Changes
Every effort will be made to follow the published itinerary - wind, weather, tide and the good Lord providing. ACCL reserves the right to change, omit or add stops, change the route, or consume extra days.
